A glance at the diary shows the vast spectrum of tasks of the Federal President at home. Alongside the "official" functions laid down in the Basic Law, there are tasks incumbent upon the Federal President which could be grouped under the title of "representing the state" of which he is the living symbol. With his position above the parties, he plays a role of integration, moderation and motivation through his speeches, addresses, talks, by becoming a patron of organizations and other initiatives.

Anniversaries and honorary godparenthood
